Days of Elijah

I felt that I heard the Lord say today, "These are the days of Elijah."

In 1Kings 17 & 18, we find the following with regard to Elijah's life and ministry:
  • Supernatural Provision: 1Kings 17:16 - "The bowl of flour was not exhausted, nor did the jar of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah."
  • Raising the Dead: 1Kings 17:22
  • Demonic Confrontations/Clashes of Power: 1Kings 18:20- God or Baal on Mt. Carmel!
  • Fire of God: 1Kings 18:38 - "Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water....." Also, we find in Malachi 4:1-6 - "For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze..." "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord."
  • Signs in the Heavens: 1Kings 17:1 - "As the Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word."

Nugget of Gold: We have turned a corner in God's prophetic timetable (see previous posting, "Turning Point" on May 26th) and we are now living in the days of miracles, signs, and wonders. Are we ready?

Prayer: Lord, may you complete the good work that You've begun in me so that I can be a "vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work." (2 Tim.2:21)
